Want to help? We are always, always in the need of help. Volunteers, donations, foster homes, etc. Here's how you can help. FOSTER By far the most important way you can help. By fostering, and opening your home up to a dog or puppy in need, you allow us kennel space to pull another animal from death row and save their life. We have a very small "central shelter" only allowing us to have about 6-7 in one place. sometimes, we have gone as high as 10 at the shelter, but our foster homes are by far our blood and backbone. Without fosters, we would not survive. Fostering is very simple: If you can provide a safe place to sleep, a warm bed, food, water, love, attention, and transportation to and from pre-paid vet appointments, you can be a foster home. Our fosters come in all shapes and sizes, from apartment dwellers, to people with huge yards, to farms. Most fosters dont have the time to dedicate to having their own dog full time, but love being able to share their lives with a puppy or dog for short periods of time. Alternatively, we have homes with lots of other pets, who cant have one more forever pet, but love to have rescues and enjoy doing their part in saving the "unwanted". C.A.R.E pays all vet bills. We assume all responsibility for foster dogs. They are usually at your home for any where from 14 days to 90 days. If you would like to become a C.A.R.E foster, please view our Foster Application. DONATE Donations keep us on our feet. While cash donations are nice, some people find it hard in today's economy to come up with the money they would like to donate. We understand. Do you have old crates, dog bowls, old comforters, towels, leashes, collars, beds, dog food, bird cages, bird food, toys, bones, flea/tick supplies etc...anything like that laying around the house? !!!! WE NEED THEM !!!!!!!!!
